Lauren's fat loss transformation

I started actively working on improving my health in September 2018 when I was 210 pounds and realized that was more than I weighed at 40 weeks pregnant. And 210 pounds is a lot for someone who is 5'2", so I started CrossFit and started counting calories, but the deficit didn't feel healthy to me. I was eating between 900-1100 calories a day and I was tired and irritable all the time. I knew I needed more structure, so I bought the RP Diet Template and just dove in, starting with a weight of 189. I continued CF but began to incorporate more weightlifting and ended my cut at 170. I've transitioned to the Simplified Training Templates now.

I've never had a healthy relationship with food or the scale, so the biggest challenge for me honestly, was eating so much food. I had gotten so used to eating so little, that I felt guilty with the amount at first, but that changed when I realized that I was losing weight. It was also difficult for me to trust the process when I wasn't seeing the number on the scale go down. I felt as if I was doing something wrong when I had to change phases. Taking pictures and comparing them helped me through that. It helped me look at the scale as a tool to help me reach my goal.

I love the simplicity of RP. It seems overwhelming at first, but once you understand how it works, it is so easy to make good, healthy choices.
